Spotlight: The Haven — The Best Coffee (and it’s Near Hā‘ena Beach Park)

If you’re heading out to Ke’e Beach, hiking the Kalalau Trail, or just cruising the North Shore, there’s one place you need to stop: The Haven - which is on a mission to create authentic connection through the sharing of beverages. And honestly? You can feel it, taste it and you really should when passing by.

Just a few minutes from Hā‘ena Beach Park, The Haven is a cozy, beautifully designed coffee shop serving up premium coffee, good vibes, and a killer lineup of locally inspired apparel. Whether you’re a tourist seeking a pick-me-up or a local on the daily grind, this place hits the mark every time.

I was on my way to an open house up the coast — one of those gorgeous oceanfront listings that makes you remember why Kaua‘i is magic. I needed a quick caffeine fix, so I pulled into The Haven. Right away, I was greeted by a very sweet barista I happened to know. As I waited for my coffee, I also bumped into the owner — a super kind gal who took a few minutes to chat with me.

The whole stop was an exceptionally pleasant and perfect experience… exactly what I needed, when I needed it. With a brilliant cup of coffee in hand, my day was already off to a great start.
